SIX WEEK FINESS CHALLENGE
MY SIX WEEK CHALLENGE AT FEARLESS FITNESS
On October 19th I started my six week challenge at FEARLESS FITNESS. I was very impressed with how small it was because of how many chains they have. My intake appointment was very informational. Greg Hammond was so thorough that he knew the questions I would ask before I asked them. The gym has a small gym feel and the classes quickly feel like a challenging happy place. If you are serious about getting the work done you will enjoy this setting. By the third class the other members are motivating you to hold on just a little longer. There are modifications to every exercise because they understand that every one is at a different stage. You will feel comfortable to ask for help or ask questions but you won't have to because the trainers are making sure that you are not hurting yourself and that you are getting the most out of yourself and the workout.
I had a car accident a year and a half ago and was very scared about injuring myself so of course I went into this nervous and explaining how I don't want to hurt myself and didn't know how much I could do. I was floored, when I did the first two days and my back was actually the only thing that wasn't sore. The soreness I did feel was from a good work out.
I had said that I would visit the gym at least three days a week as my goal and ended up going four days my first week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I am tempted to take my measurements to see how they compare to the ones I took before I started but I am not trying to focus on the numbers so much but how I feel. So I will wait till the end of the second week. On the days I didn't go like on Wednesday I did the four exercises that I didn't need equipment for but still worked out for 45 minutes. I managed to get myself to sweat just as much as the gym. On a side note it wasn't as fun as working out at the gym. I missed that extra encouragement the trainers give and the other people working out are so motivating. At no point did I feel like I had to keep up but I did enjoy that they cheered me on to push through it.
I am already looking forward to Monday. If you are a normal human being than you already know that NO one looks forward to Mondays LOL. I won't be able to attend this Saturday's 8:45 am class so I will do the cardio work outs I learned this week. On Sundays I normally binge watch FOOTBALL but will make sure to at least go on a power walk. I was already doing the walks before the gym challenge and although I don't know how many miles it is I know it takes me about an hour and 20 minutes to make the loop around my neighborhood. I also can say that I find my walks mighty boring compared to the gym.
Today October 26th and it is the first day of my second week and I am stoked to get started. We worked on arms and I was able to lift more than I thought I could and that felt good. I will say this, "I STILL DON'T FEEL MY BACK HURTING." I can't speak on this enough and will say that it is priceless to be able to work your way to a new way of life and body safely. The pain I was causing myself by doing it all wrong at home is gone thanks to FEARLESS FITNESS.
